Trademark Searching
Marketing can often be the largest expense incurred by a company. Before you invest time and money into the development of a new product it is important to know that someone else isn't already using your mark. We conduct trademark searches covering the federal registry as well as common law uses of your mark. Considering global protection, we can also search foreign databases, including Canada, UK, EU, and WIPO, to ensure that your mark is unique.

Trademark Registration
Simply using a trademark in connection with goods or services can establish your rights in the mark. However, this protection is limited to the areas where your mark is in use. By obtaining a federal trademark registration you will gain additional rights in your mark not provided by usage alone. This includes a presumption that your mark is valid for specified goods and services throughout the U.S. and will also act as notice to the public of your ownership of the mark. Additionally, federal registration will serve as a basis for foreign registration if you are considering use of your mark internationally.

An Intent-To-Use (ITU) application may also be filed to protect a mark, which you intend to use in conjunction with a specific product or service within the next six months.
